Not sure why, but I've always had a thing for them. Started with a book when I was 9, and hasn't stopped. I came across !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! group on Flickr, and uploaded a bunch of photos from the Pace Car Reunion at IMS back in 2011.

Yup. I like the rarity and significance of them. Its also an acceptable way to have a weird paint job. Its weird to have a yellow and purple Corvette, slap some Nascar stickers on it and now it is okay.

there's a guy with a '95 Brickyard 400 Monte Carlo on my way to work. Not really my thing, but he seems to really care for it.

Damn! See what you started. I'd drive the shit out of a caprice Indy 500 wagon. Wish I could find more info about it. I had a science teacher with the same paint job on a 93 c1500.
